The SmartAX MA5621 Multi-Service Access Module (MA5621 for short) is a passive cooling multi-dwelling unit (MDU) developed by Huawei for smart grid reconstruction. The MA5621 can be used for remote and intelligent information collection and transmission (regarding power stations and user electricity consumption) in an electricity system, and can also be used for video monitoring

l GPON type B protection: supported by the MA5621 when the MA5621 works with optical line terminal (OLT) V800R009C00 or later versions
l GPON type C protection: supported by the MA5621 when the MA5621 works with OLTV800R010C00 or later versions

The hardware design of the MA5621 has the following features:
l Passes the electrostatic discharge (ESD) test.
l Supports a wide range of operating temperatures: able to start at a lowest temperature of-25°C, operate at a lowest temperature of -40°C and a highest temperature of 70°C, and able to endure an 85°C high temperature for two hours.
l Passes the CE certification and meets the safety requirements specified in IEC60950-1,EN60950-1, IEC60825-1/2, and GB4943.
l Supports the following surge protection capabilities:
–Common-mode and differential-mode 6 kV for the AC power port.
–Common-mode 6 kV for FE/GE auto-adaptive ports and common-mode 4 kV for serial ports.
l Employs an energy-efficient and silence design.
l Has fewer lines routed across the surface of the board to achieve a proper heat dissipation effect (producing a temperature difference to prevent condensation).
