Product Positioning
MA5652G is a multi-service access module launched by Huawei, meeting the customers' requirements for the multi-dwelling unit (MDU) in a fiber to the building (FTTB) network (hereafter referred to as the MA5652G).
Product Feature
MA5652G supports the following features:
l MA5652G supports GPON upstream.
l Troubleshooting diagnosis and service optimization
l Large-capacity management
1 Plug-and-Play Service Provisioning
The MA5652G supports plug-and-play service provisioning:
l The hardware installation engineers only finish the installation and power on the device, and this has little requirements for operation skills.
l The MDU (referring to the MA5652G in this document) automatically obtains the related configuration from the NMS and the configuration automatically takes effect.
l After the service configuration of the MDU is finished, no field dialing test is required. The built-in test module of the MDU performs the self-test of the device and reports the result to the NMS.
2. Superior Maintainability and Manageability
The MA5652G provides comprehensive management, maintenance, and monitoring functions to facilitate routine management and troubleshooting.
3.Carrier-Class Reliability Design
4.High and Guaranteed QoS
The QoS features of the MA5652G are as follows:
l Traffic-stream-based priority marking
l ACL-based priority marking
l Mapping upstream/downstream services to different priority queues for scheduling based on the priority
l Three scheduling modes, namely priority queuing (PQ), weighted round robin (WRR), and PQ+WRR
l DBA-based bandwidth management of the GPON port
l ACL-based access control
l Two rate three color marker (trTCM)-based IP traffic profile, and rate limitation on a subscriber port
l Up to four PQs for each T-CONT, and priority queuing (PQ), weighted round robin (WRR), and PQ + WRR scheduling modes
l Configuring the scheduling mode and the WRR weight value
5.Strict Security
6. Perfect Voice Feature
The MA5652G supports the following voice features:
l Allowing the signaling IP address, media IP address, and management IP address to be dentical or different, which provides flexible network solutions
l Providing multiple voice service configuration profiles to facilitate configuration
l Configuring and delivering voice services
l Collecting voice statistics.
l Supporting the H.248 protocol, Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP), and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
l Supporting basic and supplementary plain old telephone service (POTS) services
l complying with the access gateway (AG) standards
l Complying with ITU-T G.711, ITU-T G.723.1, ITU-T G.729, RFC 2198, and RFC 2833 protocols
l Supporting dynamic jitter buffer and static jitter buffer
l Media IP address and signaling IP address management
l Silence compression, packet loss compensation, echo control, and gain control
l Delivering signal tones to local and remote users
l Media gateway controller (MGC) dual homing
l H.248 dual homing
l H.248 performance statistics and call statistics
l Meeting service performance requirements such as the long duration call and 100% concurrent calls
l Supporting fax/modem services in voice band data (VBD) mode
l T.38 fax
l Flexible configuration of narrowband and broadband services
l Loop line test, circuit test, and call emulation test
l Remote packet capture
l Emergency standalone services
l Enhanced fax/modem services
l Obtaining IP addresses using the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
l Voice IP address separation
l Global digitmap
l Flexible configuration of signaling transfer protocols
l Playing ring back tones locally
l Call restriction in case of power overload
l Providing voice services using Point-to-point over Ethernet (PPPoE) channels
7.Operable IPTV Service
The MA5652G has a powerful service switching capacity, packet forwarding capability, and high integration of data switching and user management, which lays the foundation for operable and manageable multicast services.
8.High-Rate Broadband Access Capability
The MA5652G provides the VDSL2 access, which supports a high bandwidth (symmetrical rates of up to 100 Mbit/s). This provides short-distance and high-rate solutions to the next generation FTTB access scenarios.
Network Applications
- Service Network Applications
MA5652G supports QinQ, VLAN Stacking and Triple play network applications.
2.FTTB Networking Application
The MA5652G supports the FTTB network application. As and MDU, the MA5652G provides service access for community users and transmits data upstream to the OLT through the PON port.
Physical ports provided by the MA5652G
Port Type | Port | Description |
Local maintenance serial port | CONSOLE (RS-232 serial port) | It supports local and remote maintenance and helps to configure the system on the CLI through software such as HyperTerminal. The default baud rate is 9600 bit/s. |
Environment monitoring serial port | ESC (RS-485 monitoring serial port) | It provides the environment monitoring channel, but the monitoring parameters are not reported to the system. |
Environment monitoring port | ALARM port (RJ45 port) | It provides the collected environment monitoring parameters to the device through the environment monitoring port. |
CEO (RJ45) | GPON port | It is connected to other devices through a network cable. |
Upstream port | GPON port | GPON port: l It uses the single-mode optical transceiver, and supports bidirectional data transmission over one optical fiber. l It complies with the series of ITU G.984 standards, and provides the 2.488 Gbit/s downstream rate and 1.244 Gbit/s upstream rate. |
Service port | POTS port VDSL2 port | It provides the POTS subscribers with the VoIP service. It provides the VDSL2 access service. |
