Product detail:Up for auction one original 1958 Fender Tweed Bassman amplifier. This is not a reissue! This is an incredible amplifier. This amplifier is in outstanding condition. There are no changes to the electronics of this amplifier. All the original tubes, caps and resistors are intact and 100% original. All four original Jensen P10R speakers are intact and function perfectly. This amp is strong and shows no sign of needing repair. The original tweed is intact and in above average condition. The only changes to this amplifier are the handle was replaced two times leaving some very small holes, and the prior owner put casters on the bottom of the amp (see pics). The serial number is BM 01385. The Date stamp code on the tube chart is "HL" indicating December of 58' . The speaker date codes 220845,indicating the 45 week of 58'.
This amplifier has been inspected and tested by Mike Bacino of Bacino Amplification and was given a solid thumbs up. If you are looking for the perfect 50's Bassman but do not want to spend $15K, this is your amp.The only reason this amp is not $15K is because of the extra handle and caster holes.
