From the same tree as mace, this Nutmeg is ground from the highest grade of fruit and hence is strong in aroma and flavour. Long prized for its sweet and pungent smell, nutmeg adds depth and character to cakes, pies and all manner of baked goods. It also complements savoury foods such as spinach, carrot and pumpkin. Add a pinch to mash potato, or whisk a sprinkle into your pancake batter.
