I. Overview
GK series intelligent electric actuator (referred to as the actuator in the following text) is a new generation integration equipment with functions of automatic debugging, self fault diagnosing, self-processing and the self-own servo system with no need to be equipped with the servo amplifier. Its control unit is composed of a single chip microprocessor and peripheral chips, receives standard DC signal. After CPU’s operation, it directly receives control signals from the computer, adjuster or operator to work and drive the adjuster valve to conduct straight-line or 0-90 degrees angular displacement.
The actuator can be conveniently matched with the valve to form the automatic adjuster valve and can drive the valve to conduct alterations of a variety of actions to achieve the adjusting and controlling effect on the industrial control object. Therefore, the actuator can be widely used in the pipeline adjuster valve control task of industries like electric power, metallurgy, chemical industry, petroleum, light industry and buildings.

This product complies with the standard JB/T8219-1999 “Electric actuator for industrial measuring and control use”
Main characteristics of the actuator:
1. Equipped with the external setting device that can conveniently set and adjust parameters of the actuator without changing any wiring in a wired or wireless way such as stroke range adjustment, input signal choosing, reciprocal actions alternation, zero position feedback , full range correction and upper and lower limit setting and can also add the alarm function.
2. Multiple control mode:
(1) input analog quantity control.
(2) Passive switching value remote control
(3) the active (220V AC or DC 24V) switching value remote control.
3. Multiple input signals, the user can directly choose from 0mA~10mA, 4mA~20mA, 0V-5V or 1V-5V on the spot to input signal to the actuator.
4. When selecting the input signal type, there is no need to open the cover to switch positive and reserve stroke. It can be done only through simple keyboard operation
5. Valve opening control can be done by inputting standard signals or be means of manual mechanical operation or passive contactor remote manual operation.
6. When the actuator output shaft is at the full open or full closed position, there is one set of output normally open contactor (passive) respectively. During time of motor blockage, there is one set of output normally open alarm contactor (passive).
7. with the function of self diagnosis
(1)When the displacement of the output shaft is smaller than the stroke starting point (0%) or greater than the stroke end point (100%), the actuator will send out super alarm signals.
(2) When the grid voltage falls suddenly and even the power is cut, the control circuits in the actuator will automatically memory previous instant field data. Once the voltage returns to normal, relevant data can be recovered and the actuator can continue to work.
(3) Capable of self-fault-diagnosing. When there is a stuck fault in the mechanical system causing overload of the motor, the output shaft of the actuator will remain in the original position and the control circuits will stop sending out signals to the drive direction of motor and send, display alarm information (but still maintain operating reversely). After the fault has been removed and the power is on, the actuator will automatically return to normal work.
8. When there is a foreign body in the valve or a motor fault, causing super torque, the system will automatically cut the power off within 6 seconds. The system adopts the big torque motor that can bear the short term overload shock and the motor has features as smooth running, low noise, no need of maintenance and no burning if there is a blockage.
9. It is capable of controlling operation only with the input signal line and a single-phase 220V AC power line, no need of the servo amplifier and other intermediate segments.
10. Uses the electrically conductive plastic potentiometer of high accuracy, high resolution (0.1%) and long serving life. It has the advantages of small size, long service life, stable and reliable.
11. Uses the 6-digit ultra high brightness LED Nixie tube which can display the running state and different alarm information directly and clearly.
12. Adopts the dustproof, waterproof, fully enclosed structure which can be installed in the industrial field in a bad environment.
13. Can work normally in places with a wide range of temperature, no need of any heater at a low temperature, with the capacity of electromagnetic interference resistance and power transients.
14. Maintaining the actuator and replacing any part of the circuit system require no wiring and can be conducted with electricity charge.
15. Easy operation
(1) The actuator has been adjusted as positive stroke mode before it leaves the factory, namely, when the input signal increases (for example, from 4MA to 20MA, LED display from 0 to 100%), the output shaft should cross the complete stroke from bottom to up. If users need to adjust it into the reverse stroke, that is when the input signal increases (for example, from 4MA to 20MA, LED display from 0 to 100%), the output shaft should cross the complete stroke from up to bottom, you can set the reverse stroke mode by through the keyboard.
(2) When the product leaves the factory, it has been adjusted according to the rated stroke. If users need to set the zero position or aperture, you can read chapters of "installation, wiring and adjusting of the electric actuator”.

IV. Installation, wiring and adjustment of the electric actuator
