0.6/1kV PVC Insulated Aerial Cable
(Aerial Bundled Conductor, Service Drop Cable)
1 Description
For single core PVC insulated or covered aerial cable without messenger or neutral conductor, the phase conductor may be AAC or AAAC or ACSR or Copper.
For more than one core PVC insulated aerial cable with or without messenger or neutral conductor and with or without street lighting conductor, the phase conductor and street lighting conductor are AAC with PVC insulation, and the messenger or neutral conductor is AAAC or ACSR with or without PVC insulation.
2 Operating Characteristics
Rated voltage: 0.6/1kV
Max. permissible continuous operating temperature of conductor with PVC insulation: 70°C
Max. temperature of conductor during short-circuit (5s max. duration) shall not exceed: 160°C
The ambient temperature under installation should not be lower than: -20°C
The bending radius of cable is recommended as following:
When the diameter of cable is less than 25mm: not less than 4 times of the diameter of cable
When the diameter of cable is not less than 25mm: not less than 6 times of the diameter of cable
When the cable is used in alternative current system, the rated voltage of cable should be at least equal to the rated voltage of system; when the cable is used in direct current system, the rated voltage of system should not greater than 1.5 times of the rated voltage of the cable.
3 Application
PVC insulated aerial cable as a new-type aerial cable is used for overhead electric power transmission, extensively used in rebuilding of urban and forest region electrified wire netting. It improves the safety and reliance of electrified wire netting.
