PRODUCT                :           NITRIC ACID

DESCRIPTION         :           Transparent, clean or yellowish, fuming, suffocating, hygroscopic, corrosive liquid.  Will         attack almost all metals. The yellow color is due to release of nitrogen dioxide on exposure to light.  Strong oxidizing agent. Miscible with water decomposes in alcohol.

USES             :           Uses to dissolve noble metal for etching and cleaning metals, to make

                                 organic nitrate & nitro compound, to destroy residues of organic matter   

                                 and in explosives.
