Kaibigan Ermita Outreach Foundation, Inc. (KEOFI) is a non-stock, non-profit organization accredited and licensed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development. Founded in 1986, KEOFI is devoted to the care and well-being of the street children and urban poor families/communities in 5th district of Manila.
Through the years, the foundation constantly supports and provides opportunities for the children and families to be empowered and productive. KEOFI has four core programs: Educational Assistance, Children’s Development, Community Organization and Livelihood Development Program.
The goal of the Livelihood Development Program (LDP) is to provide opportunities for the parents and youth to acquire and apply appropriate knowledge and skills to increase family income. The mentioned program has a component of Micro-Savings, Job Placement Assistance and Social Enterprise. At present, the Social Enterprise component of the program helps continuously provide alternative source of livelihood for the parents and youth who were trained to produce different quality macramé products like bags, pouches, belts and wallets/coin purse, beaded micro-macrame (bracelet) and crocheted glass coaster, glass holder and pitcher holders. Presently, we are actively looking for possible markets for the above-mentioned outputs of the makers from the different community partners of the Organization.
Thank you for your support. And God bless you.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Sison
