Phosphorous for agricultural applications is available to growers in two (2) distinctly different forms for two entirely different approaches to plant nutrition. Conventional farmers use simple solutions of water soluble phosphates which are supposed to provide a source of readily available phophorous to plants. Sustainable farmers however prefer using natural unprocessed minerals because they are considered chemically stable and environmentally sound. This exactly what makes our product a very desirable one for the plant nutrition for the following reasons.
Biological farming techniques encourage the growth of worms and microbes by using natural minerals. The objective is to create better soil tilth and structure by balancing all nutrients and encouraging biological activity. Remineralization with natural rock is effective way to restore nutrients and diversify the soils. Biodiversity in soils is achievable with the rigth input. using the unprocessed minerals product emphasized earlier.
looking for the limiting factor in the soil system is one of the case to building soil fertility and getting the soil back in balance. Calcium, phophorous and magnesium are the major nutrients that usually needs addressing. As a general rule, the advantages of such elements are
CALCIUM -is a limiting factor in most soils, esprcially those soils tha have been abused by the use of synthetic fertyilizers. is a key micronutrient , which is required in high levels by both plants and beneficial soil organisms acts like a regulator of nutrient uptake in plants. it is necessary ingredients in cell walls, cell division, energy release and resistance to diseases.Through microbial activity,iy improves soil structure by increasing aeration and aids in the release of tied-up soil nutrients. As a calcium is not transported form one part of a plant to another, aconstant supply of calcium is required during plant growth.
PHOSPHOROUS - on the other hand, is transported through the entire plant and is needed throughout the lifetime of the plant. It is neede to grow large root systems, produce quality crops and to bring the plant to full maturation. Large root systems lead to better nutrients uptake and drought resistance.Phosphorous is in a sense, energy for plant as it is necessary for the production of the ADP (adenosine diphosphate),ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and protiens. The availability of phosphorous for plant uptake is largely determined by the amount of bioactivity in the soil, especially through the action of a group of microbes called Mycorrhizae. In the absence of this microbes and/or humic substances, it is unlikely that suffecient phosphorous will be available for tghe plants because the negatively charged phosphate ions bind with the positively charge aluminum and ions in the soil. There is direct correlation between the sugar levels in the availabilty of phosphorous. Higher sugar levels, which are measured in brix unit, are associated with higher protien production and improved plant health, which leads the high energy forages. Low energy forage can cause problem with metabolism and reproduction in dairy herbs.
MAGNESIUM - it is essential part of chlorophyll(green pigment of the plants).Neccessary for the formation of the plants, help regulate uptake of the plants, carrier of the phosphorous in the plants, promotes the absorption of the phosphates from the soil by the plants. It is necessary for the growth of the plants.
In view of the need to supply the three(3) vital elements for the plant nutrition, Panay Mineral Product Resources Corp. developed a specialty fertilizers known as dolophos.
