Caustic Soda can be used in the manufacturing of cellulose, aluminum, soaps and detergents, synthetic fibers, rayon, cellophane, sodium salts in general, colorants and pigments, glass, pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, in the production of sodium hypochlorite as well as other products for water treatment.

And sodium hydroxide is also applied in vegetable oil refinement, regeneration of resins of ionic exchange, paper production, textile industry, cotton mercerizing, dyeing, metal processing, petroleum extraction and neutralization of effluents.
