Nutmeg fruit (Myristica fragan Haitt ) or as fragrant nutmeg. Fruit of an evergreentree indigenous to the Banda Islands in the Moluccas (or Spice Islands) province of Republic Indonesia. Indonesia dominate production and exports of any nutmeg products, with world market shares of 75%.

Nutmeg is being use as important spice in many cuisines, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Middle Eastern, Japan, Scotland, Caribbean, Grenada

Nutmeg also being use to produce essential oil and to make butter.

OUR MACE

Mace in its natural state, is a bright crimson lace, encasing the brown color nutmeg, fleshy lobes. As it is dried, it develops its characteristic aroma but loses its bright red color.

Mace is from the same fruit as nutmeg and has similar flavor and aroma, so nutmeg and mace are very similar in culinary and medicinal properties. Wrong perception that mace and nutmeg are 2 different trees. When the Dutch controlled the Moluccas (the Spice Islands) about some hundred years ago, one colonial administrator sent orders that the colonists should plant fewer nutmeg trees and more mace trees.

Our mace is dried naturally.

100 kg order is acceptable, preferred minimum 11 tons (1 FCL 20 ft ocean going container) delivery per month and long term contract.
