Why I LOVE the Cross
I love the cross because throughout the events of the crucifixion, Jesus dealt with people individually: 'John, take care of my mother'; 'Father, forgive them for they know not what they do'; and to the theif on the cross, 'Today you will be with me in Paradise.'

I love the cross because when the Holy Spirit wooed me to the cross, it was just me and Jesus. It was at the cross where Jesus called my name and I trusted Him. It was at the cross that I recognized and acknowledged that I was a sinner in need of a Savior. It was at the cross where the burden and guilt and shame of sin was lifted and the burden of my heart was rolled away.

I love the cross because when I stepped on the other side of the cross, I stepped into the very throne room of my Father in Heaven, robed in Jesus' righteousness and presented to the Father spotless and blameless. I love the cross because it seated me in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, yet giving me an earthly assignment to go tell, 'This is my story, this is my song!''
