Tokyo, Japan. Fujikura Ltd., the world leader in fusion splicing technology
announces the debut of new Fusion Splicer : "Single fiber core alignment
fusion splicer FSM-70S and FSM-80S”, which will be released to Japanese market in April,2013.
Today, explosive increase of data traffic by smartphone, renewal of back-bone networkin accordance with the spread of FTTH (Fiber To The Home)
network, and a series ofnew submarine cable projects in emerging countries
to build basic telecom infrastructure drive the demands of fusion splicer.
FSM-70S and FSM-80S is the new standard model to cover varied splicing needs in those fields.
Main features
The FSM-80S is core-to-core alignment single fiber splicer succeeding to FSM-60S. In addition to ruggedized concept, which 60S created, the 80S has a series of new features, such as "Automated wind-protector and tube-heater" for quicker splicing cycle as well as fewer operation steps, "innovative carrying-case design" for quicker preparation, "powerful Li-ion battey" for longer operation, high resolution bigger LCD monitor, and "built-in operation manuals" in various languages. Market is from backbone network installation to opto-electronics components production for quality splice.
Those features maximize productivity and operatability in splicing at the field.
