Atropa belladonna L is an herbaceous plant with reddish bell shaped flowers and shining black berries , the whole plant and its fruit are very poisonous, and the root and leaves are used as powerful medicinal agents , its properties are largely due to the alkaloid atropine which it contains, called also deadly nightshade

 Indications and Uses

1 Treatment of smooth muscle spasm, and inhibition of glandular secretion, and treatment of gastric and duodenal ulcer disease, gastrointestinal spasms, kidney and biliary colic. Stasis swelling, pain Sida.

2 Treatment of bruises, carbuncles boils, chronic osteomyelitis, lymphatic system, frostbite, stomach pain.
