 Specification:

1, Position the patient’s body for convenient treatment.

2, Locate the Wound Irrigation Bag correctly over a wound area at patient’s body.

 For Trunk (include sacral, hip, back, abdomen and chest) wound treatment, to set the adhesive side of the WIBT over the treatment area, water tight sealed, enabling easy access for treatment, and keep collecting tube inlet at the lowest point.

For Extremity ( include arm, leg, or even a portion of head ) wound treatment, to sleeve the WIBE onto patient’s arm or leg to over cover the treatment area, water tight sealed, enabling easy access for treatment, and keep collecting tube inlet at the lowest point.

3, Place the collection bag into a container with its inlet upward. Be sure the collecting tube is not twisted.

4, Hang solution bag and battery pack of Irrigator on IV pole and attach hose tip to the solution bag. 

5, Insert Irrigator tip into the access sleeve and start treatment.

6, After treatment finished, remove Irrigator from the access sleeve and also the Wound Irrigation Bag from patient’s body downward, and then put it into the container, with tube knotted, for further disposal.

 

Precaution:

1, Please perform the treatment without touching to patient by Irrigator and take care about reaction of patient by adjustment of moving pulse flow from further or closer to the treatment area, or by shifting a switch on the Irrigator.

2, Patients with sensory impairment are unable to provide accurate feedback needed to guide the clinician if improper technique is used that may harm wound bed.

3, Pulse irrigation should not be performed over exposed blood vessels, nerves or tendons.
