AOD furnace (argon oxygen decarburization process) is advanced technology for producing ULC stainless steel and pure high quality alloy-steel casting. It can be used for smelting ULC (C<3%) and ULS (S<0.003%) steel. The primary degumming steel molten in electrical arc furnace or intermediate frequency furnace is injected AOD furnace by steel ladle. The O2, Ar or N2 gas mixture during smelting will decarburize for steel, meanwhile will be put reducing agent, desulfurization agent, ferroalloy, coolant, etc. to adjust the molten steel composition. And smelt the qualified stainless steel products.
AOD furnace will produce large volume dust during against steel, smelting or tapping. For how to collect the dust for all process and deal with the high-temperature dust, our company had designed the capture hoods and cooling methods for furnace condition.
