ABOUT IVY / LEIVY
Ivy Beauty Corporation was incorporated in 1999 in Malaysia with the aim to provide quality and value added personal care products for the Malaysian market.
Within a short span of its launch it was evident that Ivy Beauty Corporation was a runaway success in the local market and today has visible presence in more than 500 counters manned by a sales force team of 600 sales force staff in supermarkets and major retail chains throughout Malaysia and Brunei.
Two years after its launch, the company diversify into export activities and the move to focus on global markets was hugely rewarding. Today IVY Beauty Corporation is one of the top local personal care company with vast export portfolios throughout Asean countries and reaching to as far as the Middle East, Australia, some African countries and recently the USA.
In 2008, the company has moved to manufacturing most if its own products and also offers OEM and ODM services for private labels to tap on its core competence of product development. With one of the highest growth rates in the history of the local mass market toiletries, the company has successfully secured a firm footing in the personal care market and with clear vision and strategy the sky is the limit for the company.
CORPORATE STRUCTURE
The Company is being managed by a its founders and a key management who together has more than 100 years of experience in toiletries sales and marketing management.
The Management team is led by Ms Monica Wong, our Managing Director who has about 20 years experience in the business, and has a proven track record of implementing winning marketing strategies that has worked very well for the companies she worked for.
Her major forte is in product development and through the years she had acquired invaluable hands on experience in understanding the toiletries needs and preferences of the consumers.
Ms Monica started her career as an Advertising Executive with an international advertising firm, Wings BBDO Sdn Bhd in 1980. After 2 years she moved on to mainstream marketing when she joined Johnson & Johnson (M) Sdn Bhd, the leading marketer of baby toiletries as a Product Manager. In 1984, she joined Gervas (M) Sdn Bhd, a local subsidiary of Colgate Palmolive (M) Sdn Bhd as a Marketing Manager where she implemented marketing strategies that lead the company to grow by leaps and bounces to become a leading player in the local toiletries market. After staying on for 15 years , Ms Wong ventured off to start IVY Beauty Corporation Sdn Bhd.
The other key person in the management team is Mr Loh Yong See, the Executive Director who has extensive experience (about 24 years) in the toiletries sales and distribution management in both international as well as local toiletries companies. He has invaluable personal contacts with the supermarket owners (IVY's major customers), wholesalers and retail shops. He currently heads a fast growing sales team of 400 sales personnel.
